Dogs can catch a human yawn!

We all know that human yawns are contagious between humans but scientists have proven that our yawns also affect canines.

Scientists do not know why yawning is contagious between humans or dogs but it shows that our canines friends can empathise with our feelings of tiredness or stress.

A team at Birkbeck university tested this theory and found that 21 out of 29 dogs yawned when a human yawned.

So your perfect pooch may be more in tune with your emotions than you first thought!
